Frequently asked questions
My sector is not listed — is Bitenta still useful for me?
Yes. The sector pages are scenarios and example content; the product itself is sector-agnostic. The widget runs with a single line of script on any platform where you can add HTML. If you have a need specific to your own workflow, you can write your sector as free text on the enterprise enquiry form.
What exactly changes per sector?
The technical infrastructure is the same everywhere: the same video call, queue and widget. What changes by sector is the setup scenario — which rooms you open, what information you ask for before a call, and which privacy notice the visitor is shown. All of it is configured from the panel; no separate build is required.
Can it be used in regulated areas such as healthcare, finance or the public sector?
Before a call starts, the visitor sees a privacy notice and a mandatory consent checkbox; the flow does not continue without consent. The text can be changed per room and per organisation, and a fingerprint of the accepted version is calculated and stored on the server. Audio and video are encrypted with DTLS-SRTP and the product has no call recording feature. Chat and files, however, do pass through the server and are stored — details are on the security page.
How long is call data kept?
Separate retention periods are defined for chat, visitor IP address and shared files, and they are deleted automatically by scheduled jobs. We publish the current periods on the security page; the numbers there are read directly from configuration rather than written into the text by hand.
