Why does health data require special care?
The KVKK classifies data related to health and sexual life as "special category personal data" and ties its processing to strict conditions. Such data may not be processed without the explicit consent of the data subject, may not be stored without adequate security measures, and recording it carries high risk. Tools that record consultations effectively move a patient's complaints, pre-diagnostic information or imagery into a jurisdiction outside your control. Bitenta eliminates this risk from the outset: signaling and metadata are processed in Turkey, while audio and video flow directly between parties and are never recorded at any point.
